  120. There is a UK company called timestep. I have thier prosat2 board and
  121. proscan receiver. Works really well. I'll post a pic on a.b.p.misc if you

  170. You have every "right" to use RS-10, as long as you adhere to the limitations 
  171. of your license class for transmissions leaving your antenna.  If RS-10 chooses 
  172. to retransmit your signals, that is RS-10's control operator's problem, not 
  173. yours.

  197. You asked a lot of questions, but I'll try. As far as stroe-and-forward 
  198. sats, in general there are the 1200 bps ones and 9600 bps ones. Other 
  199. than having to make minor mods to your rig, the 9600 ones are easiest to 
  200. use and much faster also. UO-22, KO-23 and KO-25 are the current ones. 
  201. You will need a 9600 bps modem, TAPR has a kit, but you need a modem 
  202. disconnect header, which the 232 doesn't have I believe. I think TAPR 
  203. also as a header add-on kit also. TAPR/AMSAT also now has a DSP modem kit 
  204. DSP-93. Contact AMSAT for software (you should be a member if you use the 
  205. sats.

  225. SatTrak can directly read NASA 2-line element sets. Then you just need
  226. to tell it to convert them to the longer format (one click of the mouse)
  227. and save the new elset. Easy to do. SatTrak and MacSPOC are the two
  228. programs I use all the time (SatTrak for predictive tables, MacSPOC
  229. for real-time shuttle tracking).

  250. Check out Orbittrak.  It's an excellent program which lets you
  251. track dozen's of satellites at the same time (although the
  252. screen does get to be a bit confusing when you do that) and
  253. can be hooked up to a rotor through a controller (I forget
  254. what model) hooked up to your serial port.

  256. Oh yeah, it's shareware and at $20 an excellent buy.

  333. I assume you mean re-transmitting NASA Television Audio ?  If so, then you
  334. should
  335. contact NASA TV (in Washington DC at NASA HQ).  This is the best way as NASA TV
  336. wants to know about anyone utilizing their broadcasts (they are very
  337. interested as to who
  338. and how many their audience is).  I do not have their number offhand, but
  339. can find it
  340. if you'd like it.  I would encourage anyone who watches NASA TV to let
  341. them know 
  342. how much you appreciate them.

  344. However, I caution that NASA TV audio may transmit things that are not
  345. permitted under
  346. your FCC Amateur license.  The Goddard Amateur Radio Club, Inc.
  347. retransmits NASCOM
  348. audio which excludes such things as press conferences, which is the most
  349. likely (although unlikely)
  350. to produce illegal transmissions.   BTW, we are on HF at 3.860, 7.185,
  351. 14.295, 21.395 and on 
  352. occasion 28.650 MHz.  Locally to the Washington DC area, we retransmit on
  353. 147.45 MHz
  354. FM simplex.

  358. antenna farm and would like signal reports.
